Steve Ferrone, John & I just recorded some blues cues for BMG/Killer Trax. This was so much fun I'm posting some of them on the music page. I got to play Sam's old '67 Fender P bass as well! Getting ready for Nov 13th gig with Jeff Pevar (who just finished touring with CS&N) and the brilliant violinist Joel Derouin (who is currently touring with Sheryl Crow). New CD countdown...due NOV.6th!

I'm back to 12 hour days in the studio. We're producing 3 very talented young artists: Jack Dill, Erin Toland and Boo Ray. Keep an eye out for them all. Tonight I'm rehearsing with Cassy Denver and the band which incudes CS&N keyboardist James Raymond and Melissa Etheredge bassist Mark Brown for Sunday's gig. Recorded 6 blues tunes for Killer Tracks, that was fun...sorry bass player friends but I love playing bass with Ferrone. 3 weeks until my new CD arives.

August 31, 2005
John Jones & I finally finished mixing the Rock School kids song "Zombie Love". Sounds great, future rock stars! I'll post it soon. Neil Peart (legendary drummer for Rush) was in the studio this week recording his part for the animation "Aqua Team Hunger Force". Almost done with new CD, thrilled to be working on a project with Jennifer Warnes, staying out of trouble. (I think)

Back In The Studio

August 5, 2005
Keb Mo was in this morning, he's producing one of my favorite bands, The Subdudes. Ferrone played a couple of drum tracks on that record, then played the most groovin' tracks on a couple of Motown style songs my buddy Steve Lang and I wrote for Kid Gloves Music. JJ got killer drum sounds using Phoenix plug-ins.

I just got back from Colorado with Freebo, where we taught "The Real School Of Rock". John Oates came by and talked to the kids, we played "She's Gone" for them. Freebo and I performed a house concert in the extraordinary studio of artists James Surls and Charmaine Locke. The kids did a great job and wrote a hit song called "Zombie Love". Keep an eye on the charts!
